With the emergence of many AI apps that allow us to alternative versions of reality. I thought more and more that it would be cool to have a dedicated camera that allows us to capture this reality. From there the idea for NuaCam was born, armed with a microcontroller, a camera module and a display the first prototype was born with 2 minute generation times and a 25% success rate. Now I am working to increase the reliability and reduce the generation time
Starting out with basic prebuilt modules a prototype was rapidly built to start testing out the idea. This allowed me to experience the joy of walking around a city and taking photos that showed me a city I’d lived in for 5 years in a new light.
From here I saw the need to develop a more permanent prototype. Half the generations and hours were lost due to a lose wire here or a broken component . From here I am proceeding to focus on the software aspect to improve the experience. As well as developing new styles to be used with the camera.
